The Cité de l’Économie is an innovative museum dedicated to exploring economics, with a particular focus on accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Designed to be inclusive, the museum offers spaces and services tailored to all types of audiences, ensuring an immersive and enriching experience. The educational approach is open and adaptable, allowing everyone, regardless of their background, to explore and understand contemporary economic issues.

Prepare Your Visit

Admission to the permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions is free for individuals with disabilities and their companions.

Access to the areas is prioritized. Entrance tickets can be collected directly from the reception teams.

Accessible parking spaces are available on Rue Berger (to the left of the Gaillard Hotel) and right in front of Citéco on Place du Général Catroux. For more details, visit the Access page under practical information!

The building entrance is accessible to individuals with reduced mobility. Once inside, elevators make it easy to navigate between floors and different parts of the permanent exhibit. Feel free to ask for more information about access at the reception.

The mediation services offered by the Cité de l’Économie vary depending on the type of disability. Unless contraindicated, all public services are accessible.

Motor Disability Icon Motor Disability and High Fatigue

The number of individuals with reduced mobility is limited by the capacity of the refuge areas. This capacity is taken into account for all mediation services (guided tours, workshops, etc.)

Visual Disability Icon Visual Disability

Visually impaired or blind individuals must be accompanied and guided. Audio guides are available for free visits of the permanent exhibit.

Auditory Disability Icon Hearing Disability

Hearing-impaired and deaf individuals have access to all facilities.

During free visits, some audiovisual resources are translated into L.S.F. (French Sign Language) and subtitled.

During guided tours (by reservation), audio phones equipped with magnetic loops are available for the hearing impaired. Guided tours are not translated into L.S.F.

Mental Disability IconMental Disability

Depending on the nature of the disability, accompanying individuals is mandatory.

Facilities and content are not necessarily adapted to all types of mental or psychological disabilities. Disrecommended facilities are indicated directly in the parcours. The companion is the sole judge of whether to use these facilities or not.

  • Guided tour (by reservation): tours are partially accessible depending on the nature of the disability.
  • Group visits are planned in advance in dialogue with the group’s supervisor.
