1/ Accessibility at Citéco

Prepare your visit

Entry to the permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions is free for individuals with disabilities and their accompanying person. Priority access to the spaces is provided. Tickets can be obtained directly from the reception teams.

Specific rates are available for certain activities and group visits. You can find all the information about our group visit offer

Discover all our mediation offers

Cité de l’Economie’s mediation offers vary according to the type of disability. Unless indicated otherwise, all offers available to the general public are accessible. Starting in 2020, Cité de l’Economie will offer specific mediation services, co-construction of projects, and dedicated mechanisms to meet all requests.

2/ Motor disability and significant fatigue

The number of people with reduced mobility is limited by the capacity of the refuge areas. This capacity is considered for all mediation offers.

For individual visits:

Self-guided tour: A gentle route offers an adapted visit. The number of wheelchair users cannot exceed the capacity of the refuge areas of the different sections. Guided tours and workshops (by reservation): all visits are accessible within the limit of available places. For groups: The number of people in these groups will be limited.

3/ Visual impairment

Blind or visually impaired individuals must be accompanied and guided.

For individual visits:

Self-guided tour: The visioguide offers routes with audio description. It will be available in 2020. Tactile aids punctuate the heritage route. Guided tour (by reservation): only certain types of visual impairments can be accommodated. For groups: The number of people in these groups will be limited.

4/ Hearing impairment

Deaf and hard of hearing individuals have access to all devices.

For individual visits:

Self-guided tour: starting in autumn 2019, all audiovisual resources will be translated into L.S.F. (French Sign Language) and subtitled. The visioguide routes will be translated into L.S.F. Guided tour (by reservation): visits with an audiophone will be accessible to the hard of hearing equipped with a loop system in 2020. For groups: Guided tours do not have L.S.F. translation. Groups are not subject to specific quotas.

5/ Mental or physical disability

Depending on the nature of the disability, accompanying individuals is mandatory. Depending on the nature of the disability, certain devices are not recommended.

- For individual visits:

Self-guided tour: the devices and content are not necessarily adapted to all types of mental or psychological disabilities. Advised against devices are indicated directly in the route. The accompanying person is the sole judge of the use or non-use of these devices.

Guided tour (by reservation): the visits are partially accessible depending on the nature of the disability.

- For groups: In advance, visits are custom-designed in dialogue with the group’s management.

Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders

Accompanying individuals is mandatory.

Depending on the nature of the disability, certain devices are not recommended. For all visit offers, management must necessarily inquire before their visit.

- For individual visits:
