At the end of 2010, Frédéric Peyret, then Secretary General of the Banque de France, and Georges Pauget, President of the Institute for the Financial Education of the Public (IEFP), signed a partnership agreement in the framework of the Banque de France’s project to set up a Cité de l’Économie et de la Monnaie.

Both parties agreed to work together on the educational games that could be used in the future Cité de l’Économie et de la Monnaie. They will continue to cooperate after the opening of the Cité de l’Économie et de la Monnaie in the former Banque de France branch of Paris-Malesherbes on common projects aimed at the public (conferences, educational workshops, etc.).

The Banque de France has worked with the IEFP for many years in areas such as information on overindebtedness. The Bank also sits on the IEFP’s Board of Directors.
