Bankruptcy of the Creditanstalt, first bank in Austria

The Great Depression of 1929 in the US affects Europe and in particular Germany and Austria. European economies depend, in fact, strongly of the US capital. In 1931, Austria’s largest bank, Creditanstalt, declares bankruptcy, causing the collapse of the Austrian stock market.
