Invention of metal movable type printing

Around 1234, Choe Yun-​​ui invented the metal movable type. The Buddhist Treaty (Jikji) or Chiksimgyong, by the monk Kyonghan, pub­lished in Korea in 1377, is the world’s oldest metal movable type book. It is kept in the Bib­lio­thèque nationale de France.
