Six out of 10 cases of TB were recorded in Asia, 3 out of 10 cases in Africa and 1 case out of 20 in North America and Europe. India is the country with the largest number of people suffering from this disease: just over 2 people with TB out of 10 are Indian, which is 7 times more than all of the developed countries put together. It is followed by China, Nigeria, Pakistan and Indonesia. Thus, over half of all cases of TB are recorded in 5 countries.
